Board Member | Manager of Sport Development, Kansas City Royals | USA Softball Allied Council Member

Casey Borovac brings over two decades of grassroots and elite-level softball experience to the Kansas City Fastpitch board. A Blue Springs, Missouri native, Casey’s passion for the game began as an athlete at a young age and continued through college, she attended Westminster College, where she earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Casey began coaching youth softball in 2004 and quickly transitioned into event management with Heartland Youth Foundation and  USA Softball in 2005. She currently serves as an Allied Member of the USA Softball Council, where she advocates for player development and coach support on a national scale.

As Manager of Sport Development for the Kansas City Royals, Casey leads all softball operations within the Royals Amateur Development System. Her work focuses on athlete development, coaching development  and mental health initiatives—culminating in the launch of the inaugural Youth All‑Sport Expo at Kauffman Stadium in 2023. It is through this role that she will serve as the Royals liaison and youth player representative on the Kansas City Fastpitch board, strengthening the connection between professional, collegiate, and youth development pathways.

Casey’s influence extends beyond the dugout. Since 2007, she has directed major tournaments including the Heartland Showcase and Heartland World Series. In 2024, she founded Heartland Management Group with a mission to transform tournament culture and provide holistic support for players, parents, coaches, and umpires.

Casey resides in Blue Springs with her husband and their two children—Taylor, a student-athlete at the University of Maryland, and Peter, a high school junior with a bright future. Her commitment to growing the game and creating positive, lasting experiences for athletes makes her a valuable leader on the Kansas City Fastpitch board.
