Welcome to the Midwest Collegiate "Gem" League – Where College Softball Athletes Shine
Take your game to the next level in Kansas City, the heart of the Midwest and home of the Midwest Gem Collegiate League (MGCL). A member of the American Collegiate League, the MGCL is designed for college athletes who want to improve their game against elite competition with exposure and opportunity to get recruited.
Over four weeks, you’ll compete in up to 25 high-intensity games, including playoffs and an All-Star event. With dynamic teams like the Amethyst Avengers, Midwest Moonstones, Ruby Sluggers, and Prairie Pearls, the MGCL blends competition with the spirit of the Midwest, making every game both meaningful and memorable.
Kansas City is more than just a backdrop. It’s a city that lives and breathes athletics. From its legendary barbecue and electric fan culture to iconic landmarks like Union Station and Country Club Plaza, KC is the perfect home for athletes chasing big dreams. It’s also a city making history as home to professional women’s softball team the Kansas City Diamonds and women's professional soccer team the Kansas City Current. When you join the Gem League, you’re stepping into a city that is a champion for women’s sports.

The Midwest Gem League games will be 4weeks in June & July 2026
Home of the Midwest Collegiate Softball League
All games will take places at the R.A.D.S Complex
▪️Are you not happy with the amount of playing time you saw last season? Come put in the work & get better.
▪️Got injured last season and didn't get an opportunity to get back on the field? Work your way back with us and use the league as an opportunity to get back to playing softball.
▪️Did you know that ~60% of athletes that enter the transfer portal don't find a new home? Join the Midwest Collegiate League and get coaches eyes on you for an opportunity to find a new home.
The Gem League is looking to have:
▪️6 teams
▪️12-15 players on each
▪️about 25 games
▪️over 4 weeks
Diamonds Athlete gets on base
There is a fee associated with each player that includes:
▪️Games, Umpires, field rental, coaching, trainers, groundskeepers, live streaming, stats, office management and more.
▪️Housing is optional for an additional fee

the Midwest Gem Collegiate League (MGCL)
The Gem League, is an affiliate of the American Collegiate League as well as the start of a Minor League program for the KC Diamonds, professional team (PSL). The Diamonds also have an established grassroots program (the Jr Diamonds.) With the goal of serving the athlete from the time they are a rookie at the 10u level to the athlete retiring after as a professional with the KC Diamonds.
